Grounded
Grounded
Grounded by George Brant is a gripping monodrama performed in English. The play follows a skilled fighter pilot whose career takes an unexpected turn when she becomes pregnant. Reassigned to operate military drones from a remote base in Nevada, she struggles with the stark contrast between the adrenaline-fueled combat in the skies and the isolating reality of waging war from behind a screen. The play explores the psychological toll of modern warfare and the civilian casualties and innocent victims often overlooked in conflict. As she navigates duty, motherhood, and the increasingly blurred line between the battlefield and home, she is forced to confront the emotional costs of remote combat.
